F-35A Lightning

The F-35A is one of, if not the most advanced fighter jet in the world. The Air Force, Navy and Marines are all going to fly them as well as several international partners. I was lucky enough to take a ride in 2019 on one of these beauties as it participated in the final day air show at EAA AirVenture. We were in the Heritage Flight and then we left without landing again and flew to Milwaukee where the demo team was flying in another air show the next week. It was a short trip and it sure didn't take us very long to get there. I stayed with them for a little longer before they made sure I got back home. The young man in the pictures was part of the ground crew and took very good care of me.
